A graduate ofJohnson & WalesUniversity, Chef Nuetzi has over twenty years of culinary experience.  Immediately prior to joining The Capital Grille in 1998, he owned and operated Brix, a Provençal restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina.  Previously, he was Executive Chef of the Planters Café in the Planters Inn, also located in Charleston. 

Chef Nuetzi credits The Capital Grille’s enormous appeal to the restaurant’s commitment to an exceptional dining experience and to its continuous, intensive employee training. 

Jim Nuetzi is a passionate educator and inspiring leader and works closely with each restaurant’s Executive Chef to acquire unique, seasonal menu items and to prepare signature wine dinners.  He collaborates with Master Sommelier George Miliotes; and together, they share their love of wine with the knowledgeable Capital Grille wait staff, who excel at making The Capital Grille’s comprehensive wine list accessible to guests.
