A graduate ofJohnson & WalesUniversity, Chef Nuetzi has over twenty years of culinary experience. Immediately prior to joining The Capital Grille in 1998, he owned and operated Brix, a Provençal restaurant in Charleston, South Carolina. Previously, he was Executive Chef of the Planters Café in the Planters Inn, also located in Charleston.
Chef Nuetzi credits The Capital Grille’s enormous appeal to the restaurant’s commitment to an exceptional dining experience and to its continuous, intensive employee training.
Jim Nuetzi is a passionate educator and inspiring leader and works closely with each restaurant’s Executive Chef to acquire unique, seasonal menu items and to prepare signature wine dinners. He collaborates with Master Sommelier George Miliotes; and together, they share their love of wine with the knowledgeable Capital Grille wait staff, who excel at making The Capital Grille’s comprehensive wine list accessible to guests.
The Capital Grille offers more than 350 New and Old World wine selections, including a Captain’s List that features some of the world’s most highly allocated and sought-after wines. The Capital Grille also offers brass-plated, personal wine lockers for annual lease.
The Capital Grille is known for its dry-aged, hand-carved beef selections, fresh seafood and extensive, award-winning wine list. Routinely recognized by Wine Spectator magazine, the restaurant recently received the American Culinary Federation’s “Achievement of Excellence Award.” The Capital Grille’s diverse menu also includes Chef’s daily offerings made with local and artisanal ingredients. The restaurant prides itself on its professional, attentive service, in an atmosphere of relaxed elegance.
Nuetzi lives inOrlandowith his wife and their two daughters, Isabelle and Olivia. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving and cooking with his family.
