Hungry after an Oscar win, Joaquin Phoenix enjoyed a plant based burger from Monty’s Good Burger on Sunset Blvd with his fiancé Rooney Mara.  Monty’s Good Burger originally as a pop-up food station at Coachella in 2018, then expanded to the Riverside Food Lab, a communal food hall that features other eateries and bars. In August 2018, Monty’s opened its first brick-and-mortar location with a restaurant in the Koreatown neighborhood. They are 100% plant based.

Phoenix and his entire family first became vegan back in 1977. Joaquin Phoenix, a longtime vegan activist and Mercy For Animals supporter, touched on his thoughts about the consumption of cow’s milk  animal cruelty at the Oscars.

A Page Six article stated:

After persuading the Golden Globes to go vegan, Joaquin Phoenix then convinced his powerful Hollywood agency, WME, to give up meat for the Oscars.

The agency threw its starry annual pre-Oscars party in Beverly Hills on Friday and offered stars including Leo DiCaprio, Jason Momoa, Wiz Khalifa and Miley Cyrus an entirely plant-based vegan spread.  READ MORE

Stanley Tucci To Host His Own Culinary Travel Show

RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 - Press Day

Stanley Tucci may not be the best-known name in Hollywood (I’m not making that assumption, Saturday Night Live did a whole sketch about it). But you’ve definitely seen Stanley Tucci. Beyond The Hunger Games and The Devil Wears Prada, he has over 100 acting credits to his name.

He also has some legit culinary cred: In 1996, he wrote, directed, and starred in Big Night, a movie about two brothers running an Italian restaurant. He’s co-owned a restaurant himself and published cookbooks including The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table. Plus, he’s worked with our own Ray Isle! Now, the typically supporting actor will have a starring role on the small screen: hosting his own culinary documentary series for CNN.

Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy is slated to be a four-part original CNN series following the actor on a food tour of Italy.   READ MORE

Beyonce to Launch a Vegan Delivery Meal Service

In 2013 Beyoncé and her husband, Jay Z, decided to try a vegan challenge. The diet stuck and now Beyoncé is turning her 'Beyonce: Life Is But A Dream' New York Premierevegan passion into a business.

The singer has teamed up with her trainer Marco Borges to launch a new vegan meal delivery service called  22 Days Nutrition. The name was inspired by the belief that it takes 21 days to break a bad habit. Bey has added a day.

“The program’s philosophy is based on the concept that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit and on the 22nd day you are well on your way to forming new habits,” says a statement. The meal plan is targeted to those who want to lose weight, cook less or simply “experience a whole new way of eating.”
