Fusion Cooking: Thanksgiving with a Latin Touch

 

For me, I love experiencing the ways others celebrate traditional American holidays.  I’ve found from Guyanese to Honduran to Filipino, there is always a few touches different from “classic American style” Thanksgiving.  Heck, even African Americans, the culture that I am apart of cooks a bit differently the the mainstream White American table offerings.   

What makes really makes those differences?  Usually, it is spices, seasonings or touches of comfort foods from your culture blended into the American way.
