Monty’s Good Burger Has An Oscar Winning Moment with Vegan Activist Joaquin Phoenix

Hungry after an Oscar win, Joaquin Phoenix enjoyed a plant based burger from Monty’s Good Burger on Sunset Blvd with his fiancé Rooney Mara.  Monty’s Good Burger originally as a pop-up food station at Coachella in 2018, then expanded to the Riverside Food Lab, a communal food hall that features other eateries and bars. In August 2018, Monty’s opened its first brick-and-mortar location with a restaurant in the Koreatown neighborhood. They are 100% plant based.

Phoenix and his entire family first became vegan back in 1977. Joaquin Phoenix, a longtime vegan activist and Mercy For Animals supporter, touched on his thoughts about the consumption of cow’s milk  animal cruelty at the Oscars.

After persuading the Golden Globes to go vegan, Joaquin Phoenix then convinced his powerful Hollywood agency, WME, to give up meat for the Oscars.

Still Cream of the Crop- His Name is Prince and He is Funky

Prince has become a living legend.  He is an international star with appeal dating back to 70’s when this young man came on the scene as quickly a little red Corvette.   Who is this guy with vocal range and the ability to play over 20 instruments?  He is most recognized as a guitarist and singer.  Often his guitar can be expected to be a part of his wardrobe.  He plays on  pretty innovatively designed guitars.  Moreover,  Prince produced ten platinum albums and thirty Top 40 singles during his career. Prince founded his own recording studio and label; writing, self-producing and playing most, or all, of the instruments on his recordings. In addition, Prince has been a “talent promoter” for the careers of  Sheila E.,  Carmen Electra, The Time and Vanity 6, and his songs have been recorded by these artists and others (including Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, The Bangles, and Sinéad O’ConnorNow, over 50 the artist has been in the public eye for over 25 years.  Back in the day,  it was about Prince versus Michael Jackson. 

One claimed to be a king and the other was named Prince at birth.  His full name is Prince Rogers Nelson.  His racial background is African American on both sides but each of his parents are multi-racial.  According to Ethnicelebs.com Prince’s mother is also of Native American and White Heritage.  His father is mixed with Italian ancestry.   

Prince is known for being an international lover.  With a long list of getting involved with female celebs and muscian/dancer collegues.

The event was carried to 140 million television viewers, the largest audience of his life.
