Phoenix’s Mac Alpine Diner and Soda Fountain

Just a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Phoenix, there’s a place where you can park for free while you dine called MacAlpine’s Diner and Soda Fountain Shop. It also has an eclectic thrift store next to it, but let’s focus on the food and drink experiences. Upon walking in, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to another time with 50s music playing and miniature jukeboxes on many tables. The ice cream soda options and homemade-style pies are impressive.

They even sell whole pies, such as cherry, apple, and pecan, and you can also just order a slice à la mode.

After having a hefty breakfast in Tucson at Nook, we only wanted dessert by the afternoon. However, our friendly waitress pointed out how good the meals were there. I’d already seen a man at the counter enjoying a burger.

If I ever return to Phoenix, I’ll definitely revisit MacAlpine’s Diner and Soda Fountain Shop.
